Governing the autonomous organisation: Agile governance in the AI Era

October 30

Most organisations deploying AI do so within governance frameworks designed for a world that no longer exists. Approval chains built for human decision-making, risk controls that assume someone is always in the loop. Participants will receive and work with the beta version of a governance toolkit in development with the Agile Business Consortium — and have the opportunity to contribute feedback that shapes the published version. Accountability structures that cannot accommodate autonomous agents are not just inefficient; they stall AI adoption.

This workshop reframes governance not as a constraint on autonomy, but as what makes autonomy possible. When decision rights are clear, accountability is explicit, and controls are embedded rather than bolted on, people and AI systems can act with confidence. Participants will receive and work with the beta version of a governance toolkit in development with the Agile Business Consortium — and have the opportunity to contribute feedback that shapes the published version.
